PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE AT89C51ED2 !!!

This just in ... new parts are on the way from Atmel.

From an email I received from Atmel 10/22/07:   "We're planning to add a new member to our AT89LP single-cycle, high-speed 8051 family in Q1 2008.   It's called AT89LP6440, and it will offer 64K bytes of flash in-system programmable program memory in a 40-pin PDIP package."

I STILL WANT SOME AT89C51ED2's THOUGH.

I am an electronic hobbyist, I build little electronic projects for fun, using 8051 family microcontrollers.  See a few HERE .

Atmel Corporation made a 8051 microcontroller that was ideal for electronic hobbyists.  The AT89C51-ED2 ( see data sheet ) came in a 40 pin DIP package so could be used with inexpensive wire-wrap sockets.  It included 64 KB of program space in FLASH, 2 KB of EEPROM for non-volatile data storage, and 2 KB of RAM.  No other company makes an 8051 family component with ALL these features in a 40 pin DIP package.  If I'm wrong about that, please tell me.

Atmel no longer offers it in the 40 pin DIP package however - and by the time I went to order a few, all of the major electronic distributors such as Mouser and Digi-key had sold out of them.

They do offer the same part in a PLCC package, but that would require a more expensive wire-wrap socket, and would not allow someone to connect a chip-clip for monitoring the signals with an oscilloscope.

I'm hoping someone has a small stock of the part I am looking for and will give or sell them to me.

The part numbers that I would be looking for are:

AT89C51ED2-3CSIM   and   AT89C51ED2-3CSUM

If you have any or know where I can get some, please let me know.

Thanks !
